1. About this policy
Strata Solutions International Pty Ltd (ABN 58 080 071 307, AFSL 234722), trading as Strata Insurance, is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information that you provide to us via this site or in the course of our business as an insurance broker. The categories typically include:
- Identity information: name, role, organisation
- Contact information: phone, email, postal address
- Insurance-related information: scheme details, building address, sum insured, claim history
- Communications: the content of enquiries, claims, quote requests and Certificate of Currency requests submitted through the site or by phone
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited (collected automatically via analytics)
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Quote, place and renew strata insurance policies on your behalf
- Process claims and Certificate of Currency requests
- Respond to general enquiries
- Maintain client records as required by our AFSL and applicable law
- Improve the site and our services (in aggregate, non-identifying ways)
4. Third-party services that handle your data
The following services may process personal information you submit through this site:
- Cloudflare — site hosting, content delivery, and Turnstile form-abuse protection. Cloudflare may briefly process technical information (IP, device data) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Formspree — contact, quote, claim and Certificate of Currency forms are processed by Formspree on submission. Submissions are forwarded to our office and stored in Formspree's systems.
- Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. We do not link analytics data to identifiable personal information.
- Google Fonts — web typography delivery. Google receives a request from your browser when fonts load.
Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. We choose providers that comply with Australian and international privacy standards.
5. Cookies and tracking
The site uses minimal cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to track anonymous usage patterns; these can be disabled in your browser settings. The site does not currently run advertising pixels.
6. Disclosure
In the ordinary course of placing and servicing insurance, we share relevant personal information with:
- Underwriters on our panel (CHU, Chubb, Flex, QUS, SCI, SUU, AXIS, Longitude) for the purpose of quoting and placing cover
- Claims service providers, loss assessors and legal advisers, in the course of administering claims
- Strata Manager offices, where they are the principal point of contact for a strata scheme client
- Regulators, auditors and authorised representatives, where required by law or by the operation of our AFSL
We do not sell personal information.
7. Data security
The site is served over HTTPS with security provided by Cloudflare. Form submissions are transmitted to Formspree over encrypted connections. Internal systems are access-controlled, and records are retained in line with regulatory requirements (typically seven years for insurance broking records).
8. Your rights under the Australian Privacy Principles
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccuracies in that information
- Withdraw consent to non-essential uses of your information
- Lodge a complaint about how we have handled your personal information
Requests can be made by phone or via the contact form.
9. Complaints and escalation
If you have a privacy concern, contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), the federal privacy regulator.
